Microfulfillment Mobile App

Microfulfillment is a strategy that places small warehouse facilities in urban locations closer to the consumer to improve delivery times. This strategy has been embraced foremost by the grocery industry to support fulfillment of same-day, online orders. This emerging strategy required a new application for grocers to help their employees quickly and accurately fulfill those orders. This application was created while I worked at a previous employer.

For this project, I assisted with:

• User research including journey mapping and ethnographic research via customer site visits

• User interviews

• Whiteboarding and low fidelity wireframes

• Final UI design

• Stakeholder validation of final design concepts

Wireframes & Designs

All designs were initially created in black and white, low fidelity wireframes. This process saves significant time over creating all designs in pixel perfect, color formats and encourages stakeholders to view the design as needing their feedback instead of already-completed.
